Portfolio Hunters 2: focus on acquisition and consolidation of wind power assets
12 Dec 2008

According to their published strategies and public statements, 20 global owners of wind power generation assets remain committed to doubling their total onshore wind portfolios between now and 2012, through the addition of a further 39.8GW of capacity to the 37.4GW currently commissioned and operating. The surge in demand for wind farm assets which has accompanied this had led to aggressive valuations. This report updates the 2007 analysis and examines 550 acquisitions for the period 2001-2008, providing up-to-date pricing benchmarks across all development stages, in all major wind markets.

Fuel Cells: A Second Look?
21 May 2008

Fuel cells have been around for 150 years however, they seem as far as ever from realizing their extraordinary promise as the energy conversion device of choice in almost everything from mobile phones to cars and buses. However, that may be about to change in some application areas.  New Energy Finance believes the best fuel cell technologies are those that fit into niche applications such as recreation vehicles, telecoms back-up and in some cases, mid-sized distributed generation (250kW - 5MW). These areas will achieve total combined revenue of $1.5bn in 2015.
This report explores the market potential of fuel cells in three key areas: recreational vehicles, telecoms backup power and mid-sized distributed generation. Then it reviews the investment trends and history of the fuel cell industry in all asset classes, including investor exits. Finally, this report examines the key players and developments in all fuel cell application areas.
Pages:49.  Price: GBP 1,348.00/USD 2,635.00/EUR 1,790.00.
